Wonderful stay! We want to return.

We really loved this property…from the free van pickup at the airport through the entire stay. We had a sea view room and enjoyed the nice light into the rooms as well as the outside private patio. Great breakfast and just a short walk to Long Beach for swimming or just walking barefoot in the sand. We enjoyed the Majestic bar about 20 minutes walk up Long Beach…great fun with oldies playing, a beautiful sunset and happy hour drinks. Easy to get a Tuk Tuk right outside the resort to anywhere in Koh Lanta. We hope to return!!!

Pure bliss. Very attentive and friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble.

We were upgraded to a pool villa. Lovely surprise from reception to celebrate my husbands birthday. Room was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Swimming pool was large and well maintained. Lots of sun beds.

No private beach with sun loungers. Hotel beach cove is accessible but rocky and not great for sunbathing.

What was the highlight of Avani Plus Koh Lanta Krabi Resort

A good hotel but not a beach hotel.

Room was comfortable, great ac, bathroom, shower, balcony were all good. The breakfast was great and a good choice. The swimming pools were good and one had a pool bar. No lifeguard.

Distance to the restaurant and beach was far but the hotel provided a buggy. The private beach was accessed by steps, it was small and rocky. The public beach was 100m walk, no facilities here like beach bar or sun beds provided by hotel. The food was not great in the evening, no entertainment.

The postitives out way the negatives massively - definitely worth staying here!

First it’s worth saying- don’t expect a normal 5* resort, this is Koh Lanta so it’s 5* in comparison to the island options. It’s a beautiful resort in a great location. If you like wildlife & nature this is an excellent resort. We saw eagles, kingfishers, large lizards & hornbills up close at the resort. The staff are really nice and helpful- in particular Wisinee and Ning were incredible. The guys driving the buggy’s we’re great! The reception/tour desk will be on hand to book anything, there are taxis available all the time and you can hire scooters without leaving the resort. The rooms are really nice, the pool villas are amazing- comfortable, clean and everything you need. The little beach is a lovely view, good for fishing, looking for wildlife- but Rocky to swim (like most of koh Lanta) The spa was nice but quite expensive and not the best massages we’ve had in Thailand- a bit hit or miss for a 5*

The main restaurant food was ok, it seemed to do western food better than Thai. It was always empty in the evening so most people eat out. Loads of amazing restaurants nearby. The breakfast is fine but could definitely be improved- if you want eggs, fruit, cereal it’s good. The staff in the restaurant (few young girls) were very different to the rest of the staff, quite rude & unwelcoming at times. Free minibar - this is listed as a “selling point” on booking.com but it’s a bit of a joke- it consists of 1 pack of Pringles and 2 chang beers and it is not refilled! I would rather have paid for a proper mini bar.. Kayaks on the beach would have been good.

Beautiful Hotel

We absolutely loved the Avani Plus Koh Lanta. My grown up daughter and I travelled around the South of Thailand for 2 weeks and this was definitely one of our favourite hotels. The staff were all so lovely, kind, and hardworking and made our stay perfect. We upgraded our room to a swim up room, and we loved it. The room was so comfortable, clean we loved the pool access and it was really quiet. The reception were always so helpful and always helped us with transfers and taxis for sightseeing. We only stayed 2 nights, but we would love to come back and stay longer and see more of this beautiful island. Highlights of our trip were visiting a beach with chilled bars, sunset and fireshow. Not sure where it was but the hotel organised the taxi for us and it was wonderful. We also went horseriding with Pirates Bar horseriding, which was recommended to me and was stunning riding on the most beautiful private beach. The restaurant at the hotel was lovely and the food was really good and the breakfast was delicious. The coffee shop was our favourite and we were there every day. We had such a wonderful time at the Avani Plus and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you Avani Plus for making our stay perfect

Relaxing stay in Ko Lanta

Relaxing stay in a great room overlooking the pool . Close to restaurant and path to beach. Took advantage of buggy to reception, used local tuk tuk to visit local restaurants in the evening. Easy access to public beach by path, also took a bike ride organised by hotel. Staff very helpful, beautiful hotel on a lovely chilled island

Everything, the hotel was perfect. The swimming pool was amazing and the room was great. Staff were super friendly and always on hand to help. Breakfast was insane and a shout out to the man who made the eggs. Short 4 minute walk to restaurants and beach.

Perfectly located resort on Koh Lanta with beautiful private beach and sunset bar. Very nice located restaurant in the resort with the possibility to take breakfast outside on the terrace with seaview. Great breakfast buffet. Beginning of Dec. the resort was not fully booked and there was everywhere sufficient space. Very relaxing place and super friendly staff.

Almost nothing. Only very minor detail as sometimes in the morning the coffee service took some time. The staff prepares everything fresh for all guests. Maybe an extra coffee machine or a coffeepot for self service would help the staff over order peaks.

I spent five days at this hotel, and it was a truly amazing experience! Despite being the rainy season, with frequent downpours, our stay was delightful. The ocean-facing room provided an incredible and serene view, accompanied by the soothing sound of the waves. The service was exceptional, from the manager and reception staff to the restaurant and pool attendants. With only a few occupied rooms during the low season, the hotel provided personalized attention to our every need and request. We rented scooters and explored the island on our own, but also enjoyed relaxing by the pool during the evenings. Overall, it was an unforgettable and highly recommended stay.

Very Good

The resort and rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. It’s easy to arrange tuk tuks or bikes from the hotel to explore nearby beaches and restaurants, or you can just stroll down directly onto the beach from the hotel. The most memorable thing about this hotel though, is the wonderful staff. Every single one seemed really happy to welcome and look after the guests with a playful smile. Special mentions to: - Wisinee, the tour agent in reception who helped us organise a private boat trip (which was amazing) and bikes for our stay. She was so warm and kind and gave us some very good advice to save money and stay safe. - Bao (Krit) on the bar, who was super energetic and engaging and couldn’t stop smiling. His face lit up whenever he saw you around the resort, really great guy. Thanks for a great stay Avani!

It’s a little distance to the main town, so ideally you want motorbikes or will need to arrange taxis into the town for restaurants and bars.

Everything was great Staff were very helpful Food was good Rooms were good size Showers and products were very good

Breakfast very simple and very disorganised - egg station takes forever, better to serve at the table otherwise your toast gets cold and you never eat together. When you arrive half an hour before the end of the breakfast everything is empty and the waiter make you aware that you only have half an hour left which is hot very relaxing… Bar at the pool, takes forever to be served. Staff is really lovely but the amount of staff there is the service could be so much better This is just me but no long mirror in the room. In general, you don’t feel special and for the money you pay you don’t get the value…

The stay at the hotel was truly commendable. I would especially like to praise Lee, the girl who gave me a massage—she was amazing! Everyone was wonderful. The people at the reception, the restaurant staff—everyone did their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible.
